How we verify every figure

Visa rules and fees affect real decisions and real money, so we hold every figure on this site to one rule: if we cannot show you the official page it came from, we do not state it as a fact.

1. Official sources only

Facts come from government immigration departments, education ministries, official registers of institutions and official embassy pages for Nepal and India. Blogs, agents and forums are never used as a source of a fact.

2. A source and a date on every figure

Next to each fee, funds requirement and rule you will find a link to the official page and the date we last checked it. Money is always split into fees you pay, funds you only show as evidence, tuition, and living costs.

3. What we could not confirm, we say so

If an official page was unavailable or unclear, the item goes into a “Check these yourself” list on the country page instead of being stated as fact.

4. Daily change checks, human approval

An automated job checks our official sources every day and flags any page that has changed. A person reviews each flagged change against the official page before anything on this site is updated. Automation never changes a figure on its own.

5. Honest dates

“Last updated” changes only when a figure, rule or source actually changes. “Facts checked” shows when we last confirmed the figures. Each guide has a review-by date; after it, the page warns you to confirm the figures yourself.

6. Nepal and India separately

Where a rule differs for Nepali and Indian citizens — evidence levels, where you apply, tests, scholarships — we show it separately.

Use of AI

The first version of these guides (October 2026) was researched with AI tools that opened each official page and recorded the figure, the link and the date. Our team is reviewing every figure against those official pages, and from now on every change found by the daily check is approved by a person before it is published. The source link is always shown so you can check it yourself.

Flight, hotel and itinerary documents for visa files

Some embassies ask for a flight itinerary or a hotel reservation with a visa application. We prepare them as reservation documents (PDFs), so you don’t buy a ticket before your visa is decided.

Need more than one? See the bundles

For a student visa: most embassies need your real admission letter and, often, a real accommodation contract. Use these documents only where your embassy’s checklist accepts a reservation or an itinerary.

Embassy requirements differ: many accept an itinerary document, some ask for a held airline reservation. Check your embassy's checklist before you apply. The reference number is a Yatra For Fun document number, not an airline PNR, so it will not appear on an airline's Manage Booking page.
