Short answer: To study in Ireland you apply for the D study visa. The main visa fee is EUR 60 (about NPR 10,194). You must also show EUR 10,000 per year: money that stays yours. You can work up to 20 hours a week during term. Eligible bachelor's and master's graduates can get a post-study work stay of up to 24 months (rules and longer stays for some degrees below).

Check before you start

  • This guide is for Nepali and Indian citizens applying from Nepal or India.
  • You need an offer from a recognised institution. Check it on the official register in the sources below.
  • Rules change often. Use the official links on this page to confirm before you pay or apply.

How much does it cost to study in Ireland?

Two different kinds of money: fees you pay (gone once paid) and funds you show as evidence (they stay in your account). Never add them together.

You pay

Fees. Not refunded.

You show

Evidence. It stays yours.

This money proves you can support yourself. It is not paid to anyone.

NPR and INR are estimates at Nepal Rastra Bank selling rates of 22 Oct 2026. Pay official fees only through the official channel.

Flight, hotel and itinerary documents for visa files

Some embassies ask for a flight itinerary or a hotel reservation with a visa application. We prepare them as reservation documents (PDFs), so you don’t buy a ticket before your visa is decided.

Need more than one? See the bundles

For a student visa: most embassies need your real admission letter and, often, a real accommodation contract. Use these documents only where your embassy’s checklist accepts a reservation or an itinerary.

Embassy requirements differ: many accept an itinerary document, some ask for a held airline reservation. Check your embassy's checklist before you apply. The reference number is a Yatra For Fun document number, not an airline PNR, so it will not appear on an airline's Manage Booking page.
